Any one has pics of Yod's Tattoo by the Sakyant master AC Tong ?
Any one has pics of Yod's Tattoo by the Sakyant master AC Tong ?
Just going a lil off topic - Would you ever put a tattoo or not? Why? :s
No issues with prayers and all its not as "Pantang (Superstitious)" as ppl think I have some tattoos from the same Master that did Yods and the rest of the contenders, just wondering which "Yants" they did Seans one is called a Yant Kropetch it has deep meaning to it heres a little story on it http://lekwatruak.tripod.com/kropetch.html
Here are some of mine same Master different Yants (designs)

As for why would any one put tattoos here are some reason
1) Gang affiliation's
2) Self expression
3) For keepsake like to mark a memory be it a loved one passing etc etc
4) For thai tattoos for protection, blessings etc
5) Trends
6) Tribal markings (not so for modern society)
etc etc
Its all personal like Jabba was totally not for tattoos but was cool with the other guys getting them so yea for me its kinda for keepsakes and its an interest since young u know how in promary sch we used to draw on our hands "Tattoos" LoL well I belived most of us who did that grew up to get real ones = )
wow man! sweet!
Yod has 5 Yant applied by Ajarn Thong... both hands have Muut Thanu (Arrow Punch), he has Yant Kru (Master's Yant... Ajarn Thong's symbol) and a Yant for his Mum and Dad on his shoulders
Sean's Yant is not Grao Petch... it is a Northern Thailand Yant from an Ajarn around where he lives
as for the "group prayer thing"... I wasn't denied being able to take photos or video at last years Gai Yang Haa Dao 8 Man Tournament, so whoever wrote what you posted must have been unlucky
some people believe taking a photo of Yant will remove or lessen the "magic"... this is not true, if it was there would be NO photos to document this art
Dzhabar's reason was religious as he is a Muslim and it is against the rules to desecrate ones body... that being said, it is also against their rules to fight & mimic another religion ie. doing the wai khru is a no-no, because it is believed to be Buddhist from the days of old, but is still done
as to "why would someone get a tattoo?"... why not?
people get braces... why?
people get their hair cut/styled/coloured... why?
people drive a car instead of a motorbike... why?
it's called individual choice and if this wasn't available to people... the world would be a very boring place
the difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is... TATTOOED PEOPLE DON'T CARE IF YOU'RE NOT TATTOOED
Thats you in that pic yakuza...? remind me of someone but he did not have a Yant just that he has a hell lots of tattoo. Nah.. Hellfight I just read it somewhere can't remember where... But is it everyone could get a tattoo from the master? or you have to have fate to meet him?
Master Ar Jahn Tong is now in Singapore, for a week more i think. If you want to get some ink from him i suggest you go asap to Sultan Plaza, a buddhist shop on the 4th level. Sultan plaza is on Jalan Sultan near Lavender. I got some picture from him a week ago...
hey guys, just want to clarify 1 point:
Ajarn or Ajahn or Acharn is Thai for Master... so Ajarn Thong is in Singapore, not Master Master Thong
not being picky or a smartarse, just letting you know
Grake, not everyone can get a Yant, some Ajarn will look inside you and won't agree with what they see and will decline, others may just offer a blessing
Thanks Hellfighter for enlightening us... So Antti you getting one? Yeah, I think I'm not ready for a yant yet... Hellfighter i heard that you have a gym in Australia? anyway near brisbane?
if u guys noticed, jaymee ong has a tattoo on her back too, it looks something like a pitchfork(no disrespect what so ever)
any idea what does that signify? cause almost most of the fighters from TCA got it.
is in the army...

I have the same "Yant Kru" on my shoulder (the on in the middle) its the "Teachers Yant".

Would you have any idea wad the yants for the mom and dad are called ? don't think it would be called Yant Por Meh ? LOL
Oh yea which Archan's/Monk did u get ur Yants from ?

Grake, my Gym was about 600k's from Brisbane
yakuza, I'll see what I can find out about which Yant Yod had applied... easiest thing would be for you to visit and ask Ajarn Thong himself, you're in S'pore aren't you?
I have received Yant from 3 Ajarns:
my original Ajarn I rarely get to see as he is still a Monk and lives in the Wat grounds which is outside of Bangkok
my 2nd Ajarn is located in Bang Sue and his name is Ajarn Kaew... awesome man, very comfortable to be around and always ready for a laugh
my 3rd Ajarn is located in OnNut and his name is Ajarn Thoy, but before he applies Yant he goes into trance and accepts the 2000+ year old spirit of PorGae Ruesii Tha Fai... he adourns the Ruesii hua (ceremonial head of PorGae) which makes him virtually blind, but he doesn't need eyes as PorGae takes control and applies beautiful Yant and blessings... very interesting and magical
in total, I have quite a few Yant
Wow how do u not love Thailand ? The culture, the tattoos, the boxing & the food ! Do u moonlight as a tour guide ? LoL
Yea I am in Spore and Ajarn does't remember who or what he tatts lol he just does em when he gets request so yea he remembers the face but he won't remember what yants he did for you lol ~
Yakuza think you forgot something... nightlife and their girls haha!
the nightlife is horrible due to too many farang and the girls are treated as meat... seriously depressing
I'll see if I can find pics of his Yants and then you can ask
Hmm.. Hellfighter, I'm not implying those erm... Ya but in places like thailand, money really makes the world go round. Actually, those girls all have a sad story behind them. But what to do... Yeah, and I've read story of farang ill-treating the girls. Juz becos they have F**K money!
Thanks hell fighter !
yea the girls really have it hard in thailand but if u asked me places like cambodia or burma have it alot worst ~ in thailand I'd say there are a handful of girls who can afford NOT to be in the sex trade but in places like cambodia etc KIDS are traded rampantly now thats SAD !
farangs= ?

farang = foreigner. ![]()
it's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.

Here's likely wad Jamie Ong got the centre tattoo also known as a Yant Kru (Teachers/Masters Yant) ~

i thought the wai kru can also be used to respect the ajarn rite.? If i do it to respect my teachers, can it be like it.? Because lyk u said, its some form for Buddhist. and im not it lah. How eh.?
in the days of old the Wai Khru was a "Buddhist ritual", but with the turning of times it is a ''dance/set of movements'' carried out to show the respect one holds for their parents, trainer and art of MuayThai... school children ''wai'' their teachers as a sign of respect... Wai Khru = showing respect to ones ''teachers''
so, NO you don't have to be Buddhist to do the Wai Khru, anyone from any walk of life has the right to do this
honestly, many of you members have joined this and other forums to ask questions to gain knowledge, BUT, you should also start to do your own research and not merely rely on others
Yeah. I agree bro but learning from others is wise. No arguments mate. Peace.
Here's his tattoos. He won't mind showing. Thais love taking photos.
You're lucky that the photos I've got has got almost all his tattoos. It's the training and the mind that counts. Tattoos are something they want to remind themselves of. You won't become like him even if you have the same tattoos!
hmm doesnt look like him from that angle.
is in the army...
Huh? It looks like him..
Yeah. 200% like him. ![]()

no Prob! I've got these pics cos I took them. I've been training at the same camp for 8 months already. One of my great buddies. He's funny. He felt strange about his recent fame after the triumph from contender's Asia. But he's still training as usual. I thought he could have just stay at home and enjoy his life for quite some time!
wow u must be having a great time there ! are u fighting as a career as well ?

No. It's not worth it. The winning prize is not much in thailand. A normal fight at Thepprasit Stadium gets like only 2000-6000 baht.
That is like 80Sing?
I learn Muay Thai for the love of the art of this sport. There are so many things you can learn from these thai trainers. I personally have some preference for the trainers. The personal trainer of Kaew, called Kom is one of my favourite. Then there's a few others too. Muay Thai is really more than fighting. And that's why I love it.

Envy you! ![]()
Tell you something funny. When I started Muay Thai at fairtex, I have no bloody idea that Fairtex is a well-known place and I don't even know that the boxers around me are so famous. All I know is that they're sort of cool and they always ask me to join them for lunch( at 10.30am!!) at the canteen or somewhere else along the roadside eating food from Isaan. 90% of them are from Isaan. Until I checked on the internet one day on names like Yodsanklai, Naruepol, Kaew, TeeLek and Attachai that I realise that they're THAT famous in the world of Muay Thai. Tee Lek and Attachai helped me a lot along the past few months. Attachai is an amazing teacher as well as fighter. And because I'm a lefter too, it's easier for them to teach me! Lucky yeah?
I'm a supposed to be south-paw but i chose to fight in normal stance. But naturally my left leg is better and execute kicks faster den my right. -_-|||

I doubt so... I think Sean tattoo is nice. But have a tattoo like that requires alot of devotion and stuff. Have to do prays and sort. Plus, I think it is rude to take a pic of it directly ain't it? cos I know that in thailand certain gyms if they are preparing for a big event or a fight. Like 8 man fight or so... They will do prayers and stuff and it is forbidded to take fotos of them doing prayers. Concerning rude... But I'm not much sure of that, just read somewhere about it. Maybe HellFighter could shed some light.
