Mine's just a normal gym and they have kickboxing classes so I don't consider that MT at all. That's why I'm looking for the real deal!! If I find the right MT gym and like the environment, I will switch coz MT will give you the workout I need. I stay around Bukit Timah so quite central. We'll need to do some research on the various MT gyms - they all look male dominated!! Wouldn't it be great if we can learn some self defence moves as well?

yea i guess more or less it will be mostly male dominated.. afterall, it's martial arts..

I am with Lana Muaythai.. Arjarn Lana is pretty nice and their fees are quite reasonable if you plan to go and try out as a beginner..
She teaches basic MT moves for beginner course and then you do padwork when you go to level 2.. Used to have a number of girls training there.. but not sure about now as I haven't been goin for months due to busy schedule.
You can call Jenn (can get her no. at the website) and ask to go and view when they hav classes before you make up your mind.
It really would be good if there are a bunch of gals who train together.. more motivation

COOL and I'll be contacting Lana MT to check them out. Would be nice to be trained by Arjarn Lana herself! Tanglin CC is pretty near my place so it sounds like a good fit. I'll also ask about organizing an all girls' class and will post updates soon.

I think Vanda boxing (Havelock) has a ladies' muay thai class. Visit their website for more info.

I am not from that gym, but quite a few women do turn up for classes (mixed) at the gym I go to. If you are all beginners, you can just turn up as a group. Most of the women I've seen had joined with their friends. Of course, later on you'll have to interact with guys, just saying

I think that it is better for those for who wants to keep fit to go to gym near the place you stay, because when laziness kicks in you won't have to mood to travel far. just some thoughts.

Yup, the list on the forum can help you find the gym you want. lots of good mt gyms in singapore and good luck for your search.

Come to hilltop. Affordable and quite a few girl here too. There's one auntie too! The prices is between 60-70 I think. Different student different price.

Correct me if I am wrong..I thought Hilltop charges by per month basis? around 160? But I know they can trial classes.. can check it out.

I meant hilltop muay Thai. Not hilltop the gym. It's located at bukit timah nature reserve park. Not a gym. It's for all standard. They will have different groups at different sides. There's fighters, advanced and beginner. After one week which is 3 lessons you will start hitting pads. There's only pads there, many. One lesson less than $10. Consider. You won't regret.

Yea have a lot but not sure which one to go to. Wanted Fight G but heard that it is very crowded, the price is reasonable for me.

For the ladies,its ok if the trainer is a guy or a lady as long they a certified shud not be a problem.. Just beware of those who pretend to be trainer and ends up a pervert just like the recent case in the paper.. Take care and enjoy yrself.. Muaythai is fun..

Lana's classes are based on a group level exercise, beginners, intermediate and advanced. Beginner class is 10 lessons in all, once a week, makes out about 2.5 mths, then she will start the next class for beginners.

Actually it doesn't really matter whether the trainer is male or female.I use to go to Lana, but now im at Hilltop, and the trainers are guys, doesn't make any difference. Muay Thai is still enjoyable.

How is the fee like for trainer lana at Tanglin CC?

As far as I can remember, beginner is $160 for 10 lessons. Intermediate is 240 for 16 lessons. They have a website. You can get all the prices and contacts there.

vanda near tiongbahru mrt is also quite convenient.. mixed class but quite a few girls training here. good for beginners. they hv free trials on fri and sat

Yep, there're quite a lot of girls for the muaythai classes in Vanda. One of the girls there kicks damn hard. Her kicks are like WOAH. She probably kicks harder than guys! hahaha. call them up for to book a free trial lesson in advance!

Hi, i had view through their site unlimited lesson all type of classes $200/mth unlimited for 6mth plan and $175/mth for 12mths plan..fightG is cheap like $100 unlimited per mth and thats my 2nd option..ill send u my mobile number so we can had fast discussion alrite

I haven plan when to go but probably on any friday evening as their trial lesson only held on fri eve & sat mor..If u keen we could try both Vanda & FightG on their trial lesson and see how it goes 1st..
