muscle building depends on alot of factor like food nutrition, rest.. beside muay thai training, there is also a need to do some conditioning work like going to the gym and bodyweight exercise. so to ur answer is yes and no. example: you wont be building muscle or have nice muscle if you train muay thai but ur lifestyle is problematic..
Agreed to both the above comments. But let's just assume the work load during a muay thai training, i suppose? That's what my dude is concerned about. 'CAN IT HELP GROW MUSCLES?!' In fact i told him hwat you both said, but he needs further persuasion.

MT is not effective in building muscle compare to weight training.
I think it'll tone your muscles. Not "Arnold Schwarzenegger" them. Unless maybe you train as much as Buakaw then you'll have those washboard abs. Hahah.
