Need Help On Gyms
Hi there, I'm 13 this year.
I'm interested in learning muay thai.
I stay near Jurong area,
Location must not be too far but my main concern are the fees.
Since I'll be the one paying the fees, i can't afford to spend too much on it.
I'm just interested in learning some basics.
Can anyone give me some advice? Like which Gyms offer cheap muay thai courses.
Thanks in Advance

you won't go wrong with bia.
Politicians and diapers must be changed often and usually for the same reason.
You trained there before kia?

Keep your Heads low
Eyes high
Mouth shut
with A heart of gold
This should be a daily way of life.
I want to know a little bit more about from the mombers of those gyms before I go down for free trials .

I'd strike Royal Thai Fitness from that list, do a search on this forum and you'd know why. Never heard of Impact MMA.
BXG and Hilltop are old names in the business and has been producing great fighters for a long time. Do check them out. You might want to add ASFitness to the list you might want to check out too.
The best way to know what you like best is to go for trial classes. All these gyms I mentioned have produced local champions.

Thanks ! Will be going for the trial class .

Hi I train at Impact MMA.
They are brand new, but the head trainer is Bruce formerly from FightG. Like I said, since you stay in Jurong, I'd really consider checking out Bia's.
Again, just do the trials. Gym to gym, you find the culture, style etc is all different. That's something you can't tell from websites. You also can't ask the gym's students, cos each student will have a biased view. Members can tell you specific things, like names of trainers, facilities (showers/no showers), operating hours, prices etc. But I wouldn't depend on Members to recommend you which gym is better. People can get protective and defensive about their gyms.
Most gyms are happy to welcome people for free trials. Just go for that.
I have asked Impact MMA about their facilities and prices etc .Maybe I will be joining Impact MMA , Bia's or BXG .

can i have the websites for impact mma and any new gyms around the west?
Impact MMA - http://www.impactmma.com.sg/
New gyms around west area I don't think so. The only gym in west is Bia's .

If I lived in Jurong, I'd check out Bia's.
Also, a piece of advice, don't go for cheap only. Do the free trials that most gyms offer. No point getting cheap but bad training. Many ppl train cheap but poor training for years and they never improve. I'm also not saying expensive means good. Just try a few and see.
