Where to learn Muay Thai for a Teenager?
Hi there, I'm 16 this year.
I'm kind of interested in learning muay thai. However, i can only attend the course after my O Lvl Examinations, which ends at November 11.
I stay near Eunos area,
where is a good place for me to learn Muay Thai. My main concern are the fees.
Since I'll be the one paying the fees, i can't afford to spend too much on it.
I'm just interested in learning some basics.
Can anyone give me some advice? Like which Gyms/Community Centres offer cheap muay thai courses.
Thanks in Advance

Any idea how much it would cost?
Searched "MT Teens Singapore" (without "s) in google, can't find any thing i wanted.
since you are staying at eunos. you might consider BXGfitness at katong, or Fightworks at macpherson.
Train hard,
Fight harder.
Yep, i've checked BXGFitness at katong already(the website)
Fees for Teenagers are $200, 10 sessions, 90 mins.
Just wondering what do they offer? I don't wanna go there and do some simple warmup + simple exercise only. What i'm interested in is their way of defense and attack.
im sure they will give you what you want, i am from BXG.
Train hard,
Fight harder.
Thanks a lot.
I'll think about it, gotta concentrate on my O Level Examinations for now.
Tmr's my English paper...
There's a MT class at Cheng San CC in AMK that offers $70 (12 lessons) for students below 18. U can call them to enquire.
Hi sorry for the gravedig.
Anyway,
I'm gonna receive my O' Level results on monday, so that means it's time for me to join Muay Thai.
I can't make up my mind which gym to go to,
FightWorks Asia
or
BXG Boxing & Fitness
From what I've read, FightWorks Asia provides training everyday, which is very tempting to me. I don't mind training everyday as long as the training is effective.
However, i don't know the cost of the training. I've also read that if i were to join FightWorks Asia, i would need to buy
1. gumshield
2. groin guard
3. muaythai shorts
4. gloves
5. handwraps
6. ankle guards ( optional)
7. sheen Pads instep
All of these will surely cost a bomb to me. I'm the one paying for the training, i don't think i can afford to pay a total of above $200.
For BXG, it sounds good to me as it's kinda cheap, $160? Not sure if I'll need to buy anything or not. However from what i've read again, it seems that the basic training is kind of boring.
Quote: "basic is basically pad work shadow boxing every beggining of lesson and bag works.".
Will i be doing that for 3 days a week, 4 weeks per month? LOL.
Probably both gyms would be doing that(pad work shadow boxing blah blah blah), however which Gym makes training more interesting and unique, more fun?
Thank you for your time.
Can't wait to go for some Muay Thai lessons.

LOL 2 u 2
Basic classes at bxg are 10 hours, then you move to the next level.
Basic classes are a must for anyone without prior muay thai experience. You don't wanna take your O level without knowing how to read, do you?
