Anybody recognise these 5 fighters who fought in China earlier tonight?
I only recognise Nareupon and Kaoklai.
There is a namelist in Chinese:

中国功夫VS泰拳对战名单:

60KG斐泰克(泰国) Vs徐吉福(中国)

65KG舍受蓬(泰国) Vs董文飞(中国)

70KG纳如蓬(泰国) Vs刘层层(中国)

75KG蓝桑坤(泰国) Vs张开印(中国)

80KG考克莱(泰国) Vs边茂富(中国)

Wow jimez u're good.
Anyway this is the updated fight card:

Sanda VS Muaythai 2009 fight card:

60KG Kaew Fairtex (Thailand) Vs Xu Jifu (China)

65KG Bigben Chor Praram (Thailand) Vs Dong Wenfei (China)

70KG Nareupon Fairtex (Thailand) Vs Liu Chengcheng (China)

75KG Lamsongkram Chuwattana (Thailand) Vs Zhang Kaiyin (China)

80KG Kaoklai Kaennorsing (Thailand) Vs Bian Maofu (China)

Yes Kaew lost. All lost except Bigben. I did a small report on my blog:
http://hanumanmtclub.blogspot.com/

60KG Kaew Fairtex (Thailand) lost to Xu Jifu (China) by points. Kaew was thrown by Xu many times and had no answer to his tactics

65KG Bigben Chor Praram (Thailand) defeats Dong Wenfei (China) by points. Bigben was technically superior in all areas and achieved a clear victory.

70KG Nareupon Fairtex (Thailand) lost to Liu Chengcheng (China) by points. However Liu was running all over the ring and simply succeeded in landing a couple of opportunistic throws. An unconvincing win.

75KG Lamsongkram Chuwattana (Thailand) lost to Zhang Kaiyin (China) by KO. The Shaolin Kid (Zhang) lands a solid backfist and hook on Lamsongkram's head, sending him to the canvas.

80KG Kaoklai Kaennorsing (Thailand) lost to Bian Maofu (China) by points. Bian lands more hits in the early rounds, but in the last 2 round he runs out of gas. His throws are also successfully countered by Kaoklai. Neither side shows clear superiority but the China judges gives the win to Bian anyway. Another unconvincing win.

Final score: China 4 Thailand 1.

Highlights of the fights can be viewed here.

I really hate watching this kind of stuff. The rules are all in favor of sanda fighters. No elbows but they got a ring instead of a platform. Very balanced... Brick wall

Actually elbows are allowed. That's why u see the fighters are required to wear elbow pads. And talking abt rules, it's not that the rules are unfair, cos both sides are allowed to use all their weapons; its abt bias judging from Chinese judges who naturally tend to favor their own people. Think

The judges aren't being biased, they are just being CHINESE! d''oh!

The commentary is ridiculously...Lamsongkram was kicked while on the ground but replay conveniently stopped right before it! Very CHINESE sort of videography as well....

MT guys need to work on some judo!

saw the fight of naruepol and lansongkram. lamsongkram got hit but a spinning backfist, nothing to complain about as he lost technically. but naruepol wise... he lost ? WTF??!?!?! the xanda guy was running around the ring? and naruepol usually a slow and technical fighter was so pissed off he was chasing the guy around the ring. and what ? executing a few slams and you won? WTF?!?!? absolutely unconvincing. lol. elbows and knees were allowed, but the position the xanda guy was in, naruepol were only able to throw knees on the guys butt. i mean, WTH?!?!? fuck this shit. lol. Mad

they got this typical catch yr leg ( no matter high/low/mid kicks ) and slam u to the ground technique. and i believe tt no matter what technique is used , u gain points just by throwing yr opponent to the canvas. lame crap.

Not that I'm against Sanda, I know that Sanda allows takedown but serious so what if I took the guy down and that is it? no punching, submission or so on the ground. Seriously, I think the Sanda guys knew they're no match for Muaythai standing offenses. Their best bet is to bring the guys to the ground to earn some points.

Thailand has fought fights with China in the previous years, and should have known that the Sanda guys would try to bring them to the ground. Shouldn't they have been working on their takedown defenses? Maybe they should have send Narupol and boys to train with Randy, GSP or BJ PENN on their takedown defenses.

I wish they would throw the stupid commentators into the ring with the thais. They're so biased they make K1 look good.

Kinda agree to this seriously, Sanda mostly, i mean mostly not always or something.
Won thier matches through points earned by takedowns and almost all thier fights are in China or something if i remembered correctly.

And yeah, if the Thai's knew they are gonna fight under Sanda Rules, they really should learn some takedowns already. But really those Chinese Judges super LOL.
Running away = win. .__.

Watching Naruepol fight, I was like Eek... And I thought K1 was bad enough. Seriously, Sanda is neither Kickboxing or MMA, no ground offenses at all. Seriously if any of the UFC boys step into the ring, those Sanda fighter will be DOOM!

Was in Shenzhen for two weeks come years back...when you watch any sports commentary with a Chinese team against a foreign one, the commentary is biased to the extend of lying! It's like watching the game with your eyes wide shut!

I guess when enough people (1 billion) believe in a lie, it becomes the truth! Long live China!!! Bounce

Lamsongkram has been getting KOed in his fights recently...i like that Bounce Not really a fan of the technical, 'relak one corner' style of fighting

Style vs. Style fights are about rules and how best you can adapt to them...

Not easy, I was used to having ropes to lean back on in the ring but nearly lost a fight in sanshou for walking back off the platform!

Anyways, a very good MT fighter who did really well in Sanshou was Panjunsuk Pro Pramuk. Great sprawl, awesome clinching technique and lethal kicks.

Same thing happened when Buakaw vs another China guy,
the commentary was like " That Thailand Guy" (Na ge thai guo ren) or something.
But in the end, Buakaw kicked the guys asses then the commentary also LLST HAHA.

That guy Buakaw fought with was a Xanda champion under that weight category, but i think buakaw must have did his homework before the fight. Because most of the time buakaw wasn't standing in the muaythai guard, was rather protecting himself from the damaging xanda kind of side kicking method. and from what people commented on the video, buakaw actually broke his rib when he kneed that fellow. thats why that fellow forfeited that match.

Agree. Self-delusion is a widespread human frailty. Honesty, however, is what brings progress.

Very true. Buakaw was one of the few Thai fighters who have done his homework on Sanda. That's why he was able to perform so well in China. The others who were thrown all over the ring by the Chinese fighters should learn from him.

Yeah..agreed its widespread but it only brings progress of the physical, which continues to burden the human soul and retards evolution...
