Installing fixtures (ceiling or wall brackets) for punching bags just outside HDB flats

hi ppl....just wanna check if anyone had gotten any contractors to do fixture installations for punching bags outside a HDB flat (there just isnt space for a punching bag in the room...zzz)...however i have a feeling that it is against HDB rules...

ahhaa...my friend installed the chin up bar outside his HDB flat near his door and was asked to take down by the HDB people. About 1 day later, his dad went to put it up again. haha!

I dont see why you cant install a ring hook for your punching bag on the ceiling slab. Its hardly noticable.

Their 'official' stand, as far as I know, is that such fixtures aren't allowed because they are a potential fire hazard. That's why they're getting more hdb owners to get rid of those fixtures outside their homes where they hang clothes. (My home included)
Basically, they just don't want anything to be blocking anyone's way (punching bags included) when people are trying to run away from a fire. =S
Outside where? In the hallway? Most likely you can't do it, but check here first:
