Any gyms like this in Singapore?
I am in Thailand and will be working on a boat in Singapore for the next 3 months. Are there any traditional Thai boxing places in rural areas. I am training at Diamond Muay Thai on Koh Phangan. I don't really want to be confined to training inside again but want to be in the open air... check what i mean.. http://www.diamondmuaythai.com/ I will be at Raffles Marina but will have access to a car. Thanks

Conditioning Oil/Balm to recommend ?
Hello fellow nakmuays
I am looking for an effective Conditioning Oil/Conditioning Balm, as I do a lot of conditioning during training. Very often, those parts will be painful to touch after that for days, up to a week. I am aware that the Muay Thai shop does sell a type of Boxing Oil, not sure how effective it is
Wondering why some Oil/Balm contain alcohol though
Any one has their favourite "legendary" Conditioning Oil/Balm to recommend me ???
Thanks a lot

Questions regarding kicks
I've been Muay Thai for close to 5 months but my i can't execute a proper roundhouse and i mean kicking with the bottom part of the shin and not with the joint connecting the shin to feet nor the feet.
Whenever i hit the bag, my joint/ feet will hit the bag too and i think this shouldn't be the way right? It's having an impact on the joint
Same goes to the thai pad, i always feel the impact on my feet and not my shin
I can't chop across/ down the thai pad too.
The kicks are more like a diagonal kick.. Read more »»

Shin toughening
I know those fighters in Thai train their shin in the past by kicking those tree trunks and for modern fighters, by bags.
Maybe there are still people who toughen their shin by kicking the trunks now, i don't know. :/
Well.. I have heard of people (kid-fighter-wannabe) saying they toughen their shin by using metal rods to hit their shin continually..
Does it work this way? Does it actually work?
Ligament strain/ elbow injury
Couldn't find an appropriate sub forum to post this but anyone had an elbow injury or ligament strain in the elbow before?
If so, have you fully recover from it ever since?
How did it recover?
I had a bad break-fall during my wrestling training last novemember and worsen it during another training session..
It has since recovered a lot but i still can't really do strenuous activities like gymming or push ups

Round house and others
Well, training has been fine so far but when i execute my round house, somehow i feel that what im doing is more of a diagonal kick or something.
Have highlighted it to my coach and he has corrected me and all but i still feel im doing it wrongly.
Yes, practice make perfect but im hoping to hear some opinions from the seniors here.
Coach told me when one execute the round house, they will rotate the hips and shoulder and sort of lean back when kicking.
Can someone enlighten me on this?
