How to be REALLY good at skipping?
hi,
I'm wondering is there any other way to be really good at skipping apart from practice, practice and more practice?
I do endurance runs and hit the gym regularly for weight training but i just can't skip for more than 2 minutes non-stop. I know if i make a point to skip everyday i will be able to skip continuously for 5min one day but what i don't understand is despite me being so active in sports i can't achieve what i think i should be achieving at this point.
HAs anyone being thru this same stage as me? Any advice?
Shagged!
WOAH! After not training for 3 weeks due to an overseas trip and not feeling well after the trip, i feel very very heavy going back into the gym today (9/01/2010). I almost puke twice while doing pad works
hahah. Was in a really bad shape. Maybe also because im a dummy and ate before the training. hahaha! so lesson learnt, do not eat before training. maybe just an energy bar or a banana.
Tomorrow's another day in the gym. Need my rest.
And Im out....
Wrists Hurt
Hi all! Today's my first ever MT lesson, so I'm pretty much a noob here....
When we were punching the heavy bags with the gloves on, my wrists hurts real bad whenever the punches connected. Is it normal or am I doing something wrongly? Or maybe I'm getting too old for this......
After some months of training , my leg showed varicose veins!
After some months of training , my leg showed varicose veins! Anyone have the same problem? any ways of treating the varicose veins ?
multiple kick
hi.. i have problem doing multiple kicks on pads.. the problem is sometime i can do multiple kicks but sometime i just cant find the rhythm.. i dont know why.. any advise to improve on this area?
Training again
Finally managed to got my butt dragged to the gym again! I tell you, worst than not training at all is to take long breaks between the training sessions.
The start wasn't good anyway.
When I was about to do some skipping the class already started to do the stretching part
I told to myself: "now I'm being really lazy". That's 'cause I was chatting with my old gym mates whom I haven't see them for a long time and time just flew by. Read more »»

Muay Thai Camp Spotlight: Koh Tao Island Muay Thai
Some of you may have been following the section of my blog which is dedicated to giving exposure to the various Muay Thai camps in Thailand. I've been trying to mix in the bigger camps like Lanna, Tiger, and Jitti with smaller camps like Phuket Dragon, and also this months feature camp, Koh Tao Island Muay Thai. There are a lot of things that make this camp unique. Here's a link to the article: http://dansmuaythaimma.com/?p=2445 Read more »»

How's everyone doing :D
How's everyone doing! I've been so busy with school and all and I haven't been training for past half a year
I've got a plan to continue Muay Thai after I lose some weight (I've lost 5kgs so far!) and build some stamina... Just waiting for my 3months school holidays to start.. grrr... I can't wait to put my gloves back on!!!
How come there haven't been any big fights lately? The last big fights we saw was last year's S-1 and Contender Asia... but it's been so long since... are there any big fights coming up in the local scene?
Hope everyone's doing well!!

weak knees/knee problem
hi, hoping someone can help me with this.
my knee has been feeling odd, like if i unfold my knees after sitting cross-legged for a long time, it is a little painful and not strong enough to move about. or it's just not as flexible as the other knee, if im sitting cross legged and wanna pull this leg nearer to me etc.
i highly suspect that it is due to the kneeing i do during muay thai. thoh i do it right on cushioned pads, without any pain during training, it seems to be the cause. any logic in this? Read more »»
My Review - Phuket MMA/Tiger Muay Thai
Hey Guys,
I recently got back from a month of training in Thailand at Phuket MMA/Tiger Muay Thai. It is the camp that Season 9 TUF Contestant Ray Elbe is the head MMA trainer at.
Also other UFC vets such as Jon Fitch, Mike Swick, Brodie Farber and Alan Belcher have trained there. I believe Tom Lawlor is training there next month.
Anyway, here is my review of the camp. You can check it out at www.dansmuaythaimma.com
Hope you enjoy it.

Flexible schedule classes
Hi all, first post
Anyway, I'm in my early thirties and wants to start training before it's too late for me. But due to work commitments, my working hrs is something like 10am - 8pm daily including sat and sun, with 1-2 days off per week, but not fixed. Had wanted to join those CC classes as they seem to be the cheapest and a good way for me to get a feel of things, but their timing is difficult to arrange and when I managed to fix up a schedule, the class got postponed due to lack of participants (TWICE!!) and I had to withdraw.
