heres the deal, if you bring 15 friends along to the show ( purchase tickets of course) doesnt matter if adult or students
what does matter is that this offer is only valid for a 1 day pass

2) give you 2 x S1 T-shirts
3) Get you back stage for a picture taking session with the fighters
what say you?
anyways, in order to make this happen, you have to make a booking with us

Give us your details

you can then show up at the venue on the event date & give your name to the counter staff, make full payment for the 15 friends you are bringing,

Please approach organizers when in the hall, we will identify you by the pass & bring you back stage for photos with the guys....

it's a little too short a notice for me to work my thing but appreciate the offer, sascha.
i've done my little part to send out some email/sms broadcast to my people about this event if that helps.

Does anybody know the camera policies of this event? I already send an email but Im wondering if anybody here has a quick answer. Some sporting events don't allow certain kind of lenses of camera's if they are too "professional".
Im a big fight and photography fan and I really want to attend this event.

This is confusing
According to the fightworksasia website, ably copied by our very own uber daddy, ...
Registration Criteria for each category
Open only to Singaporean 2 Weight categories: *Light Weight - 61.235 kg maximum - 135lbs *Middle Weight- 71.575Kg maximum -160lbs
16 participants for each weight category
Competition Format
Qualifiers - Opponents will be matched through lot drawing. Winners of each weight category in the qualifiers will total to 8 men
The poster says one guy's from Italy, a few from Malaysia, one has a Japanese flag behind him, and another is from Iran.
The top four bouts have the S1 belt between the fighters; does this mean these are the S1 bouts?
What about the other bouts, are they all supporting bouts?
Also, the top four bouts are at different weights, (57, 60, 61, 67) whereas according to the official registration criteria, only two weight cats are given.
There are also several 'other' bouts involving mostly Thais, but it's not clear on the poster.
Is this because fighters from other clubs in Singapore were reluctant to come forward?
Am I missing something here?
huh? I didn't copy anything, I posted it first!
after they gave me the info
fast as lightning
check google, we're the first result
Anyway, before I get accused again of starting a war
I just want to state the facts. Basically what happened was the local gyms were bared from competing in S1 by the local association under a questionable explanation something along the lines of - the gyms belong to an amateur association, therefore they can't send their fighters to fight for money prize (professional fights). If they do, they'll be kicked out and never fight again under their flag - wmc. In the rest of the world all the gyms have amateur fighters (fighting for glory, country, etc) and professional ones (money) training under the same roof. Of course Singapore being uniquely this doesn't apply here
.
So they put up 4 belts to grab, maybe SG will take some, maybe some other countries. We must get there and make sure our fighters have our support and do us proud!
But the bottom line is we have the chance to watch lots of real, and I say real - as in not rigged - fights. Even the undercard ones will be exciting, here until now we saw only 1 thai vs thai fight per event, over the weekend will be 3!!!
Fell free to add/disagree, I might not know all the "facts"
Uniquely Singapore!!!! Official site: http://www.visitsingapore.com/publish/stbportal/en/index.html
*sticks a proud Singapore badge on her chest*
HAHAHA I just saw the Uniquely Singapore's motto..................
"Discover a world of unique contrasts"
Talk about irony.

I must salute to all the boxers that take part in this event. Double salute to the gyms that send them. Even with "kiss your luck" letter flying to all gym, from the MT AUTHORITY, they will make this event a success.
They are not fighting for the belt; they are fighting for the sport they love.
Good Luck fighters, Good Luck Fight Works, you are all the true Nakmuay.

For all Muslim readers,
Sending you our heartfelt wishes on Eid-ul-fitr

here's wishing you an excellent Eid-ul-fitr, bro.
from singapore, with lo-- uh... all the best.
My computer kept beating me at chess.

boxxtomoi, you've got a really good and meaningful signature: PAIN IS TEMPORARY, PRIDE IS FOREVER
classic!!!
sorry mate, I can't take credit for that.
Not mine . I got it from a t-shirt a boxer gave me. Every time I arrange oversea boxer to fight in Malaysia, my fees ... just a T-shirt ! (I'm not a promoter, just a blogger).
This November, another 2 T-shirt for me. (We have an event in Kelantan and another one in December, I'm lobbying for JB- closer to you guy!).
The whole words:
I DO WHAT I DO,SAY WHAT I SAY AND FIGHT THE WAY I FIGHT
BECAUSE THAT’S JUST WHO I AM.SOME CALL ME STUPID BUT
EVERYTIME I WALK INTO THAT SQUARED SHAPE BATTLE ZONE,
THE RING, I ACCEPT THE FACT THAT I MAY DIE THAT NIGHT.
TO ME, IT IS NOT A SPORT NOR A GAME, BUT A FIGHT FOR LIFE.
KILL OR BE KILLED! THAT IS WHY I NEVER DID TAP, AND NEVER WILL TAP. I’M WILLING TO DIE EVERYTIME I STEP INTO THE RING,
SO PASSING OUT OR BREAKING A LIMB IS ACCEPTABLE, TO ME , PAIN IS TEMPORARY, PRIDE IS FOREVER.
MAYBE MY WAY OF THINKING IS TOO SEVERE FOR THE SPORT, BUT THAT’S ME.
For a Nakmuay .. those words could melt you!
Cheers.
