Female tournament “Muaythai
Female tournament “Muaythai Angels” starts Season 2.
Muaythai Angels is the women’s contest that was launched in 2014. It follows the Contender Asia and the Challenger Muaythai projects. Chomannee Taehiran of Thailand took all tournament consequently becoming the champion of the first “WMA” season.
Almost three years later the project restarts. Sixteen international competitors similarly take part in the second installment. The 57 kg women’s muaythai tournament is held in April – June 2017. Thailand and China host the series.
The list of competitors looks as the following. Lucy Payne (26 – 9 – 0) represents the UK. Natalie Morgan (12, 1 KO – 3 – 2) stands for the US. Australian national team member, Yolanda Schmidt (22, 8 KOs – 6 – 1) is fighting for her birthplace, South Africa. Japanese Jinnai Madoka (24-8-1) is coming out of the Land of the Rising Sun.
Also on the card Atenea Flores Pertegas (37, 13 KOs – 2 – 1) of Spain. Sung Jing of China brings to the table 2 victorious in MMA as well as 18 wins in Sanda. Another contender from China is Zhang Jiao who’s record is 1-1-1 in Muay Thai and 11-3 in boxing. As well, Funda Diken (30, 17 KOs – 2 – 0) is battling out for Turkey.

of Portugal and Nicola Callander (12, 5 TKOs – 1 – 0) of New Zealand. Fani Peloumpi (44 – 9 – 1) of Greece, Sofia Olofsson (35, 18 KOs – 6 – 0) of Sweden, Tereza Dvorakova (26, 2 KOs – 11 – 0) of Czech and Polina Petrova (28 – 7 – 0) of Russia conclude the program.
