this sunday's tournament is a pre qualifer to the busan world games. the busan world games is a somewhat like a world meet where you have different sports. muay thai is one of them. singapore will be sending a contingent of fighters.

the sunday tournament is opened to anyone from the AMAS recognised gyms in singapore. you need to be from a gym to fight. there are novice, amateur and professional categories. as usual the weight group applies. I believe if you are not from a gym, you are not allowed to take part. for reasons such as safety issues.

you can have zero experience and take part. the novice category is for fighters who have no experience at all and are fighting for the first time. head guard, body guard, gloves, elbow and shin guards are worn. so injuries are kept to a minimum.

Alphadog, thanks for the info.

Do all categories have a chance to go to Korea, including the novices?

For the Busan games, which categories of fighters are eligible (novice, amatuer, pro)?

if im not wrong, the busan games would be an amateur tourney. like sea games or world championships.

i guess the best will be sent to represent singapore muaythai. and this sunday's is one of the many pre qualifers to determine who are amongst the best. i guess novices will have a chance to go if they show their worth

i see.. i suppose u must register thru ur gym, hence firstly ur gym master must be the one to agree first..
but i dun really encourage people with zero experience to join.. cause, even with all those "armours" it still hurts like shit when u get kicked.. esp in the leg..
