Hi guys,
I'm planning to take a beachy little holiday at Koh Samui in May ... so I'm wondering if any of you has trained there before ...
If so, which training camp did you train in .... how was the experience and what's your recommendation?
Thanks!
David

I did, last easter i was there for a week or so. I was at the Lamai WMC camp at Lamai beach, because i stayed with my friend who trains there. Training is ok, it's basically only foreigners training, so get prepared for some good old western hard sparring haha... Sparring with the thais is always different, with more control and technique. The trainers are good and the people are very friendly. You can always have a good laugh with Zidov and Jabba there.
Have you had your trip to Samui yet DavidZQ?? I'm just curious to know how you went..
My club (Flunders Uni Muay Thai) makes a trip over to Thailand every year or two and always trains in Samui. Everyone loves it.
Paul Slowinski (K1) has also trained and fought there in the past quite a lot so I'd imagine the training is really good!! (unfortunately I haven't trained in Thailand yet  )
Do the Contender boys train there also???
Hey there Anita...
Yeah I've heard many top strikers from the different orgs (mma, k-1...) training there...
I'll be going there this May however... should be good fun... hope to spend some quality time training with some of the top guys there if possible.
I'm guessing ur a muaythai fighter, and if you haven't been to thailand to train... you really should!
The last time I trained in thailand was in Pattaya Sinpholek gym and it was great... but now with the thought of training in another camp, near crystal clear waters, scuba diving sites (if you happen to love snorkling or diving) etc etc...
All I can say is Ooh la la!
haha yeah WMC samui is actually quite a nice place to train at. accomodation is cheap and good too. went there in dec and again recently in march. The trainers are good and fun at the same time.Im pretty sure you'll like it there!
Hey DavidZQ
Yeah, I train and fight. I train at Flinders University Muay Thai (FUMTC) in Adelaide Australia (Paul’s first gym).
You’re absolutely right, I certainly should and WILL \\:D/ go to Thailand and train.
You’re probably there now!! Lucky you!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where do you train in Singapore? Do you fight? AND are you going to fight when you’re in Thailand?
