Heard Dzhabar injured his arm too. And Marcus will be replaced by Leo Monteiro. You know, is it just me or does this have extremely little publicity at the moment when it's already this coming Saturday? The ticket prices are crazy that's for sure.
Fucking bummed I'll be flying to Thailand right smack on Saturday. Sigh. Guys please blog about it. And now Yod's gonna be here as a "VIP"? What's he gonna do?

Arrrr so bummed! Maybe I should go check out the ring at the stadium just for the heck of it. Sounds pretty spiffy to me.

Heather O'Donnell
* Age - 24
* Weight - 59kg
* Number of Wins - 7 - 3KO's
* Number of Losses - 3
* Number of Draws - 0

Heather loves training with the fighters getting fit and loves to fight.

On Thursday night the 24-year-old - who has begrudgingly assumed the fight name "Glamazon" intends to make up for it when she goes for Arafura Games gold in the women's 63kg class.

"I've got to make sure it was well worth it," she smiled.

Arafura Games action

The Australian women's captain produced one of the most savvy performances of her 23-fight career to safely negotiate her way through the first round and into a gold medal match with South Africa's Madeline Ross on Thursday night at Spectrum Stadium.

But it took some risky tactics.

Stepping up a weight division and padded up for only the fourth bout, the Sunshine Coast combatant played it passive and let New Caledonia's Ielo Page come at her.

In doing so she conceded the first round, went marginally better in the second before showing her wares with a storming finish.

"I had to do my homework - fighting up a division, wearing the protective gear and dealing with the heat was a real unknown for me," she said.

"I knew I could finish strong if I had to."

The conditions are proving a major hurdle for a number of Australia top-line acts with chiselled Gold Coast fighter Clayton Collyer, a seasoned professional at 29, showing obvious discomfort.

"There is a lot of adapting to do," he said.

The tickets sold on the muay thai shop http://shop.muaythai.sg are self-collect, meaning bring your ID Saturday and get them on the spot.

For tickets sold elsewhere, I don't know, they need to enquire with them.

Hi, please help. I just buy a ticket to The Lion City World Grand Prix 2009 few minutes ago thru Muay Thai Store and made my payment using PayPal. When will I be receiving my ticket? As the show will commenced this Sat, I don't think I shall be receiving it by post tomorrow (Fri 11/12/09.

How do I gain entry to the show without the ticket I have already bought?? Please help me!! I am so worried.

Thanks.

ermm yeah, as I already said 2-3 posts above the tickets are self-collect
"The tickets sold on the muay thai shop http://shop.muaythai.sg are self-collect, meaning bring your ID Saturday and get them on the spot. "

On the ticket description page when you add to cart there's the same info: "At the checkout page:
- in order comments write your IC number.
- choose "Free delivery" as shipping method.

You will collect the tickets on the spot, bring your IC."

So yeah, no worries... Just send your IC number...

For tickets sold elsewhere, I don't know, they need to enquire with them.

also when you buy your tix on the ticket page - for example here: http://shop.muaythai.sg/catalog/tickets/-lion-city-world-grand-prix-2009/gallery-seat
it's saying clearly "You will collect the tickets on the spot, bring your IC."

Did you write the IC number?

Damn was hoping could take some videos of the fight.

Anyway it's reported in the papers today that Starhub would be showing the fights on 20 Dec 09 on Supersports Smile

Updated the main post with the final fight cards, check it out!

I would not want to miss this event, it will be high class fighting! Singapore hasn't seen this for a long time!

All the fighters looked so relaxed and smiling, you wouldn't believe they'll fight each other tomorrow.

CAN'T WAIT FOR 7 PM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
