Hi
heading to phuket for 2 weeks in Dec, thinking of doing some quality training there.
not a hard core type but aims to keep fit and fine tune my techniques.
will be there with family for a week, and alone for "concentration camp" for another.
i noticed some gym are korean, french themed. any recommendation for a more balanced gym?
thks
You going there to learn a foreign language or train muay thai?
}:)
Joke aside, probably Patong or Sinbi would be a good choice. Or Tiger or any one with a webpage and some youtube clips to see if it's legit. Also depends on how do they answer to your requests. Good luck! Maybe I'll see you around there
Muay Thai Singapore
Haha, i shld be more explicit. i'm toying between patong, sinbi and phuket top team. As for tiger, im not too sure. probably do a day training and see how things.
Singpatong also very good, have current stadium champs (lumpini) and also some good europeans there, Damien Alamos (french champion) and my friend from england Charlie peters (rising star)
Tiger is huge so depends who you train with but some good trainers....Prathet very good but hes back at my gym in the UK right now.
Hi diesel
Thank u for e reply.
Tried contacting singpatong, but no reply and cannot find their address also. Any idea where they located?
I am also going to be in Phuket for 2 weeks prior to my family joining for the next week for training. I am also looking at Sinbi and Patong Boxing Gym, I hear a lot of good things over the net about both but have only been to camps in Bangkok. So its my first time training in Phuket. I am favouring Patong Boxing Gym just on the basis of their accomodation, did stay in a gym in bangkok once and the accomodation was seriously bad since then I am more careful on that side. As to training a lot depends on how hard you train and also the trainer they give you, so I do feel unless you know the gym and book a trainer in advance it is a bit of a lottery.
As to singpatpong this is their website with address: http://www.singpatongsitnumnoi.com/contact_en.html
i have been to a few and know first hand a lot of the trainers
Singpatong very good , Tiger not bad if you get a trainer who is keen to work you hard - Patong Boxing Gym - a cpl of lads from my gym in London went there - its ok - one trainer very good clincer but a lot of students - like many in phuket - are there for a holiday not just to train
Sinbi has both, a lot of guys who want to train with saenchai for photos - but some serious guys too.... thats Phuket for you though
still give me bangkok any day of the week.....although right now with most gyms flooded in BKK phuket a better option
i would have gone back to Bangkok or Ubon but i have family and friends joining on my third week. At this stage just some serious training will be fine for me as I am just looking to get back in shape.

on PTT and TMT
Hi guys
I recently trained at Dragon Muay Thai with my gf and had an S&C session at PTT. I would say that both are really good training camps, although PTT is definitely more English speaking based. However, if you're keen to have a more traditional muay thai experience I would recommed Dragon. They are a really good gym with excellent teachers.
The only thing i would say about the thai training camps is that their bags are harder and heavier than any bag i've ever kicked in Singapore! However, please know that I haven't been doing MT for that long (5 months) so my shins are still not accustomed to really hard and heavy bags but it was a great experience nonetheless.
As for prices, if you drop in its 300 baht.
Hope you guys find this useful!
You are next!
