Cairnhill CC - the fights

Submitted by gaijinu on Sat, 21/07/2007 - 21:18

Pretty good fights I must say. The evening begun with the wai kru performed by Zach, then the highlight of the evening was the local pro welterweights Victor Chng from Hilltop and Louis Wong from MTW. It was a spectacular fight. Louis won by points.

While in the novice/amateur fights we saw a lot of jabs, crosses and a few good kicks, the local pro had all the arsenal: lots of elbows, knees, clinch work

The videos are up!

The Tao of Muay Thai

Submitted by hansen on Sun, 15/07/2007 - 20:59

It is common knowledge that Muay Thai training is one of the toughest in the world of sport. Some sports physiologists even feel that it is too stressful for the nervous system to go through two sessions of anaerobic training a day like Muay Thai practitioners do.

ZACH KICKZ AGAIN

Submitted by gaijinu on Sun, 24/06/2007 - 22:22

On 23rd of June 2007 Zach was invited to take part in a muay thai tournament in Batam Island. Four nations sent their fighters: Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.
The event had 2 parts. The first one featured amateur bouts between local fighters - they were very anxious to show their talent, then later in the evening the pros where called into the ring.
One of the pros was Godam from Indonesia whom we saw at the Muay Thai Explosion in March.

The best cardio in the world!

Submitted by gaijinu on Sun, 08/04/2007 - 13:20

By Hansen Bay

Singaporeans often struggle to stay fit and healthy mainly because they cannot seem to stick to an exercise program, at least not for long. The main problem lies with motivation. Regular routes to fitness like joining a gym and jogging may not exactly be the best way to keep your motivation going.
